Practices: 3 days in one entry

Day 1:
Grad practice today was shorter than I thought. I even got my yearbook signed by a couple people. I also wrote messages that were not funny in hindsight, so i think i have to get someone's yearbook back.

Day 2:
Second graduation practice. After I went to the SCA Bahama Breeze thingy.
Managed to edit that yearbook... of course it still is a ridiculous entry. It was fun overall, even though we sat segregated. After hanging out with the SCA, Chris, Shilpa, Nonye, Davon and Ngozi headed over to Towson mall. Since Tuua was nice enough to drive Tim home, Joe, Elan and I could meet up with them there. While some pretty funny things happened at Hollister(see below), the funniest part for me was when Chris walked into Hot Topic, and Shilpa and Nonye refused to go in.

Day 3:
Met up with Kallie at Starbucks. Had a four hour long conversation covering everything from Dave Chapelle to plans for college. It was fun, and I hope we can hang out before she transfers(U Mich?). Afterwards, got schooled in Madden by Yohance.

Lyric of the Day(1):
"The days get shorter and the nights get cold.
I like the autumn but this place is getting old.
I pack up my belongings and I head for the coast.
It might not be a lot but I feel like I'm making the most.
The days get longer and the nights smell green.
I guess it's not surprising but it's spring and I should leave."
-Modest Mouse:"The World at Large"

Lyric of the Day(2):
" On an island in the sun
We’ll be playing and having fun
And it makes me feel so fine
I can’t control my brain"
-Weezer:"Island in the Sun"

Lyric of the Day(3):
I went sky diving
I went Rocky Mountain climbing
I went 2.7 seconds on a bull named fumanchu
and I loved deeper and I spoke sweeter
and I gave forgiveness I'd been denying
and he said someday I hope you get the chance
to live like you were dying."
-Tim McGraw:"Live like you were dying"

Random Story of The Day(1):
In Hollister, the girls and Davon decided to give me a makeover(Yes Nonye, I am putting this in here). It was interesting wearing "extremely destroyed" jeans, a shirt with a naturally popped collar, and a Hollister hat. Even though my outfit was teal, it was well recieved(especially since it matched Shilpa's outfit). I never realized that the bird was a Hollister symbol. I should have taken a picture.

Random Story of The Day(2):
Well, even though my buddy Tuua wouldn't get me an invite to the SCA party I still wanted to go. So i made my own flyer, using my mad tech skills. The best part was when Sonia came up to our table, and did the necessary "Dinesh, so where's your invite?" thing. When I pulled out an invite that had my name in her handwriting, it took her a minute to figure it out. But that minute was worth it.

Random Story of The Day(3):
So I decided we should see The Breakup.
Problems with organizing a crew:
-Bad cell Numbers
-People busy planning the summer
-No answering cell phones
-People not wanting to see a romantic comedy with a bunch of guys
-Knowing that people can't come on short notice
-Lack of transportation
So, in short, it didn't happen.

Late Owl misses the worms entirely

So you know what sucks?

Reaching to a party late only to find out its pretty much over.

On the positive, I hung out with my cousins from VA and my uncle today. As well as my extremely intellegent but troublesome ten-year old second-cousin.

Lyric of the Day:
"
I am one of those
Melodramatic fools
Neurotic to the bone
No doubt about it"
-Green Day:"Basket Case"

Random Story of The Day:
Andrea calls her son for food.

Andrew: Mommy, I already ate.
Andrea: Candy, isn't eating. Get yourself upstairs.
Me: You know whats great...In high school biology, he will learn enough to contradict you.
Fiona: Yeah, but by then, she won't have to worry about feeding him.

Picnics and Pheonix

Yeah, Picnic was fun. Played a little football, signed some yearbooks. It was pretty fun.

Then saw X-3. That was amazing.

"I'm the Juggernaut, Bitch!"

Lyric of the Day:
"
I mean she even cooks me pancakes
And alka seltzer when my tummy aches
If that ain't love then i don't know what love is
We even got a secret handshake
And she loves the music that my band makes
I know i'm young but if i had to choose her or the sun
I'd be one nocturnal son of a gun"
-Gym Class Heroes:"Cupid's Chokehold"

Random Story of The Day:

So yeah, Kezia and Shilpa berated me in order to have Chris sit by them.

Of course they'll claim I exaggerate the harsh verbal accostings.

And pretend that it was merely because Chris had to sign their yearbooks.

Who would ever think that I exgaggerate?

Marvel Civil War?!?!

So apparently I do not know half of the Marvel Trivia that I should know. This became clearly apparent when I tried to do the Trivia Quiz on X-Men 2. Sure Yohance laughed at me, but the fact that he had taken the quiz before made me realize that I wasn't that behind on Marvel knowledge. The title comes from his computer's background, a picture of spiderman hanging over Captain America's sheild, an ominous picture that Yohance told me was a part of a war in the multiverse.

After dorking out, we hit the court. "You are Timmy, but with slightly better aim" was all that was said of my game or lack there of. Well, at least we had fun.

Lyric of the Day:
"
And so they kick, push, kick, push, kick, push, kick push, coast
And away they rolled
Just rebels without a cause with no place to go
And so they kick, push, kick, push, kick, push, kick push, coast"
-Lupe Fiasco:"Kick, Push"

Random Story of The Day:
Skipper skipped. Literally.

Dinner scenes are important in Literature...

Well, banquest was fun, though I only managed to get around 20 signatures on my yearbook. I sat with Jeff, Jen, Joe, Chris, Elan, Tim, Andrew, Alex, and Adam. The food was pretty good(mac and cheese, fried chicken, and brownies being the all-stars), and the company was fun. I forgot my camera at home, so I hope people decide to send me pics. We also hung out at Ruthie's afterwards.

Fun random memories:
-Running from Case
-Not realizing I was sitting on Salina's camera
-Returning Tuua's AP Bio book(mainly Zach's reaction)
-Almost following Joe, Chris and Tim to the presentation table
-Twister at Ruthie's (Davon cheated...thats why I lost...)

Lyric of the Day:
"
It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought ... it figures"
-Alanis Morisette:"Ironic"

Random Story of The Day:

So at ball I managed to get Chris' yearbook after Kezia signed it. I created a full-page border with broken hearts for it. I think it is prety funny, and it'll remain so until Chris kicks me in the balls, or Kezia takes me off her top 8. Yep, I'm a myspace whore.

Movie Nights

So I just spent the past two days doing random fun stuff.

-Over-dressing at Baccalurate Service
-Making fun of Joey at the reception(Bible=fiction?!?!)
-Hitting up Legends(and not trading at all)
-Playing Risk with Collins and his dad(Both are crazy)
-Seeing the Da Vinci Code with Nonye and company(Tom Hanks is jesus? lol)
-Playing Monopoly with Elan, Collins, and Corey
-Seeing MI:3 with those guys(and making fun of Tom Cruise)

Now I have to get ready for Senior Banquet...Good Times!

Lyric of the Day:
"
They see me rollin'
They hatin'
Patrollin' and tryna catch me ridin dirty
Tryna to catch me ridin dirty"
-Chamillionaire:"Ridin'"

Random Story of The Day:
So I tell Chris that when copying music to my new hard drive, I rediscovered Incubus, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and Creed.
"You can undiscover Creed" was his reply.

VA is for lovers, MD is for haters & DC is in between

Yeah, tried to come up with a witty title, and all I could get was "VA is for lovers, MD is for haters & DC is for the crazy". Then I realized not everyone likes being called crazy. I hope this title sounds more poetic.

Anyway, yesterday I had a fun trip to DC. After sleeping by Elan, we caught a train down to DC. We had to park in a church parking lot because the MARC's lot was full. When w were walking up, there was a train pulling off, and we ran up to it, but realized it was not our train.

In DC we met up with Joe, Chris, Ruthie, Tuua, Shilpa, Dan, and Angela at the Native American Smithsonian. Finding a troll in one of the exhibits was probably the most amusing thing that happened there. Except for me finding out that Honest Tea was actually a real thing, not just some ficticious thing Tuua made up. Who knew?

Next stop was the National Art Gallery. While Tuua looked for the Matisse exhibit, the rest of us admired various works of art, from "Mound of Cheese" to "Girl Reading". Our group split up, as Ruthie and Tuua wanted to check out more art, while Elan , Shilpa, Angela, Chris, Joe, Dan, and I would rather go to the National Aquarium.

On our way to the Aquarium, we went to the Washington Monument. It was not that far off our way, plus it was one of the sites that defined DC. While I was reluctant to walk on the grass there, Elan justified it by pointing out that little kids were running around on it, so it must be fine. The Monument was really tall, but tickets for the day had been sold out. We resumed our course to the aquarium.

We got the idea to visit the White House, which was really close to the aquarium. As we were reaching the back/front of the White House(Dan and Chris disagree about where we were exactly) a homeland security person shooed us away, saying that the White House was closed to the public today. We saw three black SUVs pull into the White House, so we decided to get back to walking to the aquarium.

We got to the aquarium at 3, only to find out that it was closing at 5. Deciding to keep our five bucks a peice, we headed to meet back up with Tuua and Ruthie. On our way back some of us got hot dogs, in fact Elan got a Ninja Turtle pop. We also saw the funcycle, an eight person cycle you could rent and use to tour DC. Too bad we had spent all our money except that for the trip home!

Eventually we met up with Tuua and Ruthie at the Capitol building. We took a brief tour of the fragrant botanical gardens. While Joe, Ruthie, and I hunted for orchids for Tuua, we realized that the girls had the wrong number for Collins. We all met back up and headed home.

Fun discussion on the ride home.

Hung out with Elan and 2E for half an hour.

Missed the crepe dinner by like 10 minutes.

Had a needed 14 hour sleep afterwards.

Lyric of the Day:
"
You have found yourself
Trapped in this
Incomprehensible maze
Where’s your head at
Where’s your head at"
-Basement Jaxx:"Where's your head at"

Random Story of The Day:
So Tuua, Ruthie, Angela and I are sitting in a quad of seats on the train.

Tuua: Memoirs of a Geisha was terrible.
Ruthie: Lilly liked it.
Tuua: We ignore the things Lilly say.
Me: And Lilly is? Your friend from New York?
Tuua: No my neighbor. You should have met her at the party.
Me: I wasn't invited to the party...
Tuua: ...
Ruthie: Well this is awkward!

Also, as Elan was saying how this was the first time heate an ice cream cone without incident, he dropped it.

First day off of school....YAY?!

So today was the first day out of school.

Didn't feel like it.

I woke up at 6:30(as usual).

I had to drive across the county(as usual).

I had to go to pointlesss things that proved a waste of my time(as usual).

On the positive side I managed to play board games with the crew.

Lyric of the Day:
"The world I love

The tears I drop
To be part of
The wave can't stop
Ever wonder if it's all for you "
-Red Hot Chili Peppers:"Can't Stop"

Random Story of The Day:

I'm chilling at Elan's, watching his steal my catchprase("in the AM"), when Shilpa IMs him.

Shilpa: so our gang is called sugar mama
Elan : wha?
Elan : oh ok
Shilpa: i am askin
Elan : no im called sugarbomb elan
Elan : the gang could be called that
Shilpa: lol
Shilpa: we have to get dan to agree
Elan : you know... name it in my honor
Shilpa: lol

I finally reached the internet!

The day after ball, we moved to my grandma's. It has taken me sort of long totry and set up the internet there, but its happeniong. In the meanwhile, I am left updating my blog at the library. Sad, I know.

Last night Elan, Joe, and I watched Munich. It was one of those movies where the thin line between cautious and paranoid became extremely blurred. I mean sleeping in you closet because your bed might be bombed is paranoid right?

Well, got to go do stuff, though not at school.

P.S. Ball was amazing. Not as amazing as my tux was, but pretty awesome.

Lyric of the Day:
"I could make references to books I never read
For the sake of sounding conscious
But, that’s just obnoxious"
-Gym Class Heroes:"Nothing Boy VS The Echo Factor"

Random Story of The Day:
Last night was NSHS inductions. Besides Collins burning himself on a candle, I had several amusing conversations.

Kezia: Payal, you have a myspace
Payal: Yeah....
Me(interrupting): This conversation is just so wrong. I mean its only your top 8 that matters right?
Kezia: You're not on my top 8...
Me: Oh god, now we're going to have some Top 8 drama on the last day of school!

Packing and Hard Drives

Arg, I'm going to spend my Friday night packing....
I did get an external hard drive though....
YAY!

Lyric of the Day:
"
But no young girl was claiming me
And naming me
And destiny get nervous...."
-Something Corporate:"She paint me Blue"

Random Story of The Day:
I see Joe's away.
It says "
drowning my sorrow in a computer game"
Me: sorrow? you seemed happy...
Joe: it's poetic
Me: lol, but tis a lie...
Joe: eh, beauty is what it is
Me: damn, thats poetic!

AP Econ done...No more APs!!!

So yeah, I'm done. Seven tests. Hopefully passing all.
I bet you I'll be up till 1 doing this damn IRP.
Update: I was.

Lyric of the Day:
"To resist is to piss in the wind

Anyone who does will end up smelling
Knowing this, why do I defy?
Because my inner voice is yelling"
-Incubus:"Out from Under"

Random Story of The Day:

Yay Sonia!
Did she not show me that P=MC thing(its like PMC, the shirt whe was wearing), I would have sucked at Micro FR.

AP Psych done...

Well that test was both easy and sort of difficult. If I had made flashcards I'm sure I would have done better. Stupid Senioritis....

So yeah, anyone bored enough to read this be warned. Tomorrow I will look different.

MWHAHAHAHA!

Off to sleep, I know Econ.

Lyric of the Day:
"
I never thought I'd walk away from you.
I did.
But it's a false sense of accomplishment.
Every time I quit "
-Jimmy Eat World:"Pain"

Random Story of The Day:
During the AP test today the fire alarm goes off. As we all file out talking about whether or not our scores will be invalidated, Mr. Dunbar walks up to our group.

Dunbar: So guys, just relax. Your tests will get time extensions.
Me: Yes! Unsceduled break when I'm in the zone!
Jade: Yeah, if you have a zone...
Elan: I just realizeed something, our tests aren't guarded
Dunbar: We locked the doors, they're fine.
Elan: You sure you don't want me to go check on them.
Dunbar: No, they're fine, really.

Thinking outside the Box

Today in IT, we saw that some 10th grader got suspended for doing bad stuff on the network. One comment that I heard and thought was interesting was "I hope he doesn't join the darks side". For those of you who are unaware; this is more than a Star Wars reference, it is an allusion to black hat hackers(aka. smart people who do malicious things). Im not going to claim to have had a catharsis, but this made me a little concious about myself. If I stood out too much, would I be hammered down as in the old Chinese proverb.(A nail that stands out is hammered in.)

Here is a comic to help:
Cyanide and Happiness, a daily webcomic
Cyanide & Happiness @ Explosm.net

So according to this, a quite excellent source, standing out can get you looked down on, and even make you isolated. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? On the pro side, you are unique. On the con side, we all know how well the world deals with uniqueness.

Ah well, got to go do stupid IRP/ study for psych.

I hope she liked minigolf.

Lyric of the Day:
"Talk is cheap and lies are expensive

My wallet's fat and so is my head
Hit and run and then I'll hit you again
I'm a smart ass but I'm playing dumb"
-Green Day:"Walking Contradiction"

Random Story of The Day:
Ball approaches. My hair must be dealt with. Before my creation grows out of my control.

Me: my hair needs to be done
Nonye: cut it short and spike it
Me: u serious?
Nonye: i've already told you this
Nonye: that's the world according to Nneka and she knows gay ppl
Nonye: and gay ppl know all about this stuff
Me: did you call me gay?
Nonye: XD
Me: o wait, that means im really straight
Me: i know nothing lol
Nonye: duh

AP Physics done...

Well the test is done. Doesn't mean it was good. In fact it sort of sucked.

Oh well, I would have to take Physics in college anyway.

Today I tried to rewrite Joe's valedictorian speech(didn't work), cram physics(didn't work), and get home in time for my dentist's appointment(didn't happen).

At least I managed to drop Elan to Towson and find my way back to the beltway.

Crashing an SCA event for food isn't worth it right?

Lyric of the Day:
"Just stop enough of the limitless critical comments on my life

Just stop the judgment and all of your pseudo-involvement in my life
Step back a moment, and look at the miracle starting in our life
Don't stop the moment, and let the incredible happen knowing that"
-Disturbed:"Just Stop"

Random Story of The Day:
Today I got an invite to Tuua's party. Like Chris though, I was considered unworthy of a picture. Sorry, had to mess with the kid. He took Bio after all.

So anyway, I check out my invite, and notice that there is white out on it. I use my mad cheating skills to find out the name that the envelope was originally for.

"Nate"

What was great was when Ben saw it; he started laughing and shouted out "TUUA!".

A Hard Day's Night: Variety Show

Last night was fun.

We hung out at Collins'.

Hit up the variety show.

Had a Physics study session, that became Magic Night when Elan's little brother decided it should.

Good Times.

I also randomly found this quote that I found interesting. Endurance of the human spirit and whatnot.

"A man can be destroyed but not defeated" -Ernest Hemingway

PS: Chris, I am sorry the democratic process hates you.

Lyric of the Day:
"Follow your heart

Your intuition
It will lead you in the right direction
Let go of your mind
Your Intuition
Is easy to find Just follow your heart baby "
-Jewel:"Intuition"

Random Story of The Day:
So by now, everyone should have heard about my antics in finding a ball date. I'm going to clarify somethings, mainly because I really am tired of reading James Joyce and looking at Physics equations. Some people say for "pulling a Collins" by asking two friends in the same night, I am an idiot. One must first be aware of several things before they can understand why I would do something like this:

-We were reading Pride and Prejudice
-I am easily amused(Proof: Say the word "four" to me slowly)
-I tend to be methodical(I blame years of learning the scientific method)
-I tend to miss things(aka. clear "leave me alone" signs/sarcasm)
-Jade can be very convincing
-I read into Joe's metaphors too much
-I am easily convinced to do things

Oh yeah, I also like punishment.

APENG done...

Well today we did the APENG test, and it was a Wilde experience. After the test, Chris and I had lunch at journalism, and stayed there till 4th period. Psych was slightly amusing, as Mr. Neikirk was angry; but when he stopped Ruby from going to her AP Studio test, Joyce called him a jerk, and I agree.

History club was fun, as Angela and I did a running commentary during Hidalgo. I pointed out how pimp Vigo was while she pointed out how vulnerable these women must be to fall for such lame lines.

Is purple Ganondorf really "flamboyantly gay"?

I think he's just being King of the Gerudos.

Lyric of the Day:
"I bet that you look good on the dance floor
I don't know if you're looking for romance or
I don't know what you're looking for"
-The Arctic Monkeys:"I Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor"

Random Story of The Day:

Jared and I are talking after school.

Jared: Got a date yet?
Me: No, plans are in the works.
Jared: I'll go with you...I mean I have to go with a senior if I want to go right?
Me: Yes you would, and no, unless you're paying for your ticket
Jared: I will
Me: Just stop right there.

Jared: So is Tuua really going with Pat Massey?
Me: I don't know. Don't think so but I mean I am fairly oblivious.
Jared: If it's true, it's hilarious!

V=0

Today was a fun day. In IT, I passed my practical, but almost got in trouble for mixing up the floppy and zip drives. Physics was a review of all the formulas on the AP test, which I found sort-of helpful. In Statistics we watched NUMB3Rs, which was pretty fun. I actually managed to pull out a 5 on that practice Micro-Economics test. Props to Elan for his setting of the high score.

For anyone wondering about the title, it is a Physics reference of Electric Potential being zero. This means that someone left their lights on, and had to get a jump start, because the battery has no charge. Thanks to the amazing Katie your hero is home safe. Who knew you could just chain together jumper cables if you didn't have a long one?

Lyric of the Day:
"Got a big plan, his mindset maybe its right ,

At the right place and right time, maybe tonight,
In a whisper or handshake sending a sign ,
Wanna make out and kiss hard, wait nevermind "
-She Wants Revenge:"Tear You Apart"

Random Story of The Day:
So in Physics we are doing work. Kirsten turns away from our table, so that you can only see a side view of her. As her Jacket is a bright yellow, Elan didn't realize she wasn't facing us.
"Kirsten, you look anorexic!", he shouts.
Kneil replies, "How can you think she (motions to Kirsten) is anorexic?"
"Yeah, she eats for hours", adds JT.

AP Stats done...

Well, that wasn't as bad as I expected. I don't think I got a five, but a four is good enough for UMD. Hopefully I managed to pull it off.

Oh yeah, people sure one variable for too many things. S is slope, supply, standard deviation, speed, serine, sulfur, second, and saturn. Please make it stop.

Lyric of the Day:
"My head is a box full of nothing

and that's the way I like it
My garden's a secret compartment
and that's the way I like itand that's the way I like it"
-Ben Lee:"Catch My Disease"

Random Story of The Day:
After the AP test we went to Chris'. As soon as we walk in, he shouts "No one on my computer!" and rushes into the computer room. Joe and I start up the Gamecube, and as the startup music begins Chris shouts "Don't start without me!", and runs back into his room.

My response, "Gamecube more important than myspace?"
